Thanks to two international airports that feature thousands of flight options, it’s also one of the most cost-competitive cities in the US.
O’Hare International Airport (ORD) One of the busiest airports in the country, ORD is located 18 miles northwest of The Loop with more than 1,000 daily directs from more than 151 US and 63 international destinations. ORD is a major hub for both American and United.
Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) Known primarily as a hub for Southwest, Midway is completing the largest airport expansion in 20 years with increased security capacity, modern concessions and thoughtful amenities. MDW also features three FBOs, and is located eight miles southwest of The Loop.
While Chicago is lovingly nicknamed "The Windy City," that moniker has more to do with our politicians than the weather. It's a moderate four-season lakefront destination.
