Explore Without Boundaries

VIEW OUR ONLINE DESTINATION GUIDE

Arizona’s second-largest city is anything but second rate. Set in a valley lined by swaths of saguaro and mountains that are tall in stature and enormous in beauty, Tucson retains Old West traditions but melds them with the modern – think: spas, resort hotels, championship golf courses, and trend-setting restaurants. Not to mention, a jaw-dropping sunset that bathes the desert landscape in an otherworldly glow each and every evening. Easy access to the vast metro area makes Tucson the ideal site for event planners looking to bring their meeting or corporate event to the next level. We invite you to experience this memorable place where the Wild West is still wild.

HIGHLIGHTS AND ATTRACTIONS

City of Gastronomy

Unique dining options abound in Tucson, where two-thirds of the 1,200-plus restaurants are independently and locally owned. Housed in a historic train depot, Maynards Market & Kitchen offers up a heritage-inspired menu in an atmosphere of understated elegance.

All in the Family

The Flores family laid claim to Tucson’s dining and hospitality landscape in 1922 with El Charro Café – the oldest Mexican restaurant in the country operated continuously by the same family. Their legacy continues today at venues such as the historic Stillwell House & Garden; Charro Vida, which finds inspiration in the heart-healthy Mediterranean diet; and Pub 1922, a throwback to the days just after Prohibition.

Curious Minds

Dedicated to the exploration of global scientific issues, Biosphere 2 features seven model ecosystems, originally intended to demonstrate the viability of a closed ecological system to support human life in outer space. Now owned by the University of Arizona, the facility offers fascinating in-depth tours to visitors. The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum turns the concept of a typical museum on its ear, comprising a botanical garden, art gallery, natural history museum, and zoo. With a goal of fostering the appreciation of the Sonoran Desert, 85 percent of the museum experience is outdoors on 47 developed acres.
