Overview:
This repeat client had solely done (and loved) beach resort experiences for their annual incentive trip. Our task was then to create a refined California wellness experience that still wowed them, in a setting ringed by mountains instead of waves.

To introduce the client to life in the mountains, the welcome reception was a highbrow affair with taupe and ivory linens and fruit and floral centerpieces lit by the flickering light of the Savonia lanterns hung from the branches of the legendary Ojai Valley Inn’s ancient and sprawling oak tree. The evening was topped off with an acoustic guitarist and a cigar station.

Jeep Scramblers
The Ojai Valley has long been known for its produce, but its wines are beginning to garner a worldwide following. Two groups got the option to spend either the morning or afternoon touring the area in the back of a jeep, sipping local vintages while they enjoyed the diverse environments. The middle of the day featured an open-air lunch at Boccali’s Winery.
For the final event, the evening was split into two star-spangled events. The first was an all-American cookout complete with denim table dressings and giant lawn games. When the sun set, the evening switched to a red, white, and blue after-party with full bars and a seven-piece band.
To keep a long event fresh, like this program’s final event that lasted most of the day, consider moving from one area to another, but maintain iterations of the same corporate event theme, such as the patriotic picnic turning into a swanky star-spangled cocktail hour.
