360 Destination Group Gains Seasoned DMC Pro

Irvine, California, May 20, 2021 – 360 Destination Group is adding talent across the board! Get to know two of our newest hospitality heroes with 10 fun and fascinating facts covering everything from industry insights to favorite tunes!

First up is Tracey Smith, Account Executive in San Diego & Palm Springs. Tracey has a background in both hotels and DMCs. She loves her Seattle Seahawks, pup, Mr. Fred, and is the last one to leave any dancefloor!

1. What inspired you to pursue a career in hospitality?
When I was in high school, I worked at a day camp and asked my boss what she majored in. When she said there was a degree for recreation and tourism, I only applied to colleges with that degree. Started working in hotels and resorts my senior year, and I haven’t looked back since.

2. What’s your favorite travel hack?
I love to follow Instagram accounts specific to your destination to find local hot spots, and I search for blog posts about day trips or weekend getaways. I’ve been able to find some amazing places this way!

3. What music moves you?
Anything and everything! I love to dance, and I’m always the first to the dance floor. Right now, I’m rotating 90s hip hop, country, and my favorite artist Dermot Kennedy.

4. What are you currently binge-watching?
We just finished The Boys on Amazon Prime, highly recommend it.

5. What’s the best advice you could give someone starting out in the events industry?
Have fun, and never burn a bridge. You never know how your paths will cross again.

6. What’s your spirit animal?
A dog, all they want to do is eat, sleep, snuggle, and go for walks. That pretty much sums me up!

7. Tell us about one of the coolest events you’ve ever produced.
Assisting with the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor at LAX. We were in charge of enhancing their terminal with decor & entrainment to kick off the start of the celebration. Being in a room with the remaining survivors and their families was such an honor and something I’ll never forget.

8. What’s a skill you have that you think everyone should learn?
How to cook and/or bake. This was especially helpful during lockdown when I realized almost all my hobbies were shut down.

9. I love Southern California because…
What’s not to love? Great weather, beautiful beaches, delicious food, awesome people, and always something new to experience.

10. What are you currently reading?
10% Happier by Dan Harris. Awesome read if you want to get into meditating, but you’re skeptical. I also regularly laugh out loud while reading.
